Biography

Christine doesn’t remember when she didn’t knit. Her mother and grandmother got her started and she hasn’t stopped since. From whimsical mittens, hats and beautiful Icelandic style sweaters to her now famous artful shawls, scarves and necklaces, everything in her collection is handmade with care and expertise by Christine herself.

She became enchanted with arts and crafts at a young age when she worked at Current Crafts, a ‘before its time’ artisan crafts store in Mt. Carmel, CT. Her Wearable Art business grew out of this lifelong affection for handmade, one-of-a-kind items and her expertise in the art of knitting and working with unusual yarns. You will find her work at select craft stores in the Connecticut area. Christine lives in Middletown with her husband Tom, who doesn’t ever remember not hearing knitting needles in the background.
