Fashion Week One, Monday-Friday, July 9-13 (9-5:30pm) for ages 11-15. Mornings are spent working with a professional illustrator learning to draw the fashion silhouette as live models pose for your sketches. End the week of illustration with a portfolio ready piece. Afternoons are spent with professional seamstresses learning to read, pin and cut a pattern of your choice. Construct and finish your garment by sewing and adding accessories. Professional hair and makeup stylists help prepare you for the end of the week photo shoot and fashion show. Model your creations for friends and family! Cost for one registrant is $360 per week, with a deposit of $180. Material list available.
Fashion Week Two, Monday-Friday, July 16-20 (9-5:30pm) for ages 11-15, camp goers dig deeper and focus their designs on the influences of top fashion designers. Afternoons, they sew their creations and add details. The week ends with a portfolio-ready fashion illustration and their turn to make their way down the runway for family and friends. This year’s designer grew up rigorously training as a figure skater. She swept floors at Vogue watching and listening to what everyone did. Her second job was working at the Ralph Lauren store where she would stay late on a Friday night after the store closed to get it ready for the next day. She designed her own wedding dress dipping her entire wedding collection into tea to express her unique brand. And her persona T-shirt obsession covers an entire room! If you guessed the most prominent designer of bridal wear in America is Vera Wang, you guessed right. Vera Wang’s elegant designer bridal gowns and ready to wear fashions will be our muse. Learn sketching from a live model and design your own Wang Inspired creations. Fashionistas can register for either week or both weeks. No previous experience is necessary. Cost for one registrant is $360 per week, with a deposit of $180. Material list available.
